Candidate Biography
Walter Springman has been a committed resident and advocate for Washington, DC since 2010, spending the past 15 years living or working continuously in Ward 2. He currently serves as the General Manager of the Woman’s National Democratic Club, where he champions women’s rights as well as LGBTQ, racial, and economic equality. Walter’s professional and community work reflect a deep dedication to building an inclusive, equitable, and engaged DC.

Candidate Statement
I’m running for Recording Secretary of the Ward 2 Democrats because our community deserves clear communication, organized leadership, and a transparent process. After 15 years living and working in Ward 2, I understand how vital strong civic engagement is to our neighborhood.

In my role at the Woman’s National Democratic Club, I’ve supported diverse voices and advanced core Democratic values. I want to bring that same commitment to our local party—ensuring our records, meetings, and outreach are accessible, accurate, and inclusive.
