Primary Election Day

On Election Day, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., qualified electors may register to vote and cast full ballots in person at Vote Centers. All voters who are in line

at 8:00 p.m. may cast a ballot [D.C. Official Code §§ 1-123(d)(2), 1-1001.07(g)(5), 1-1001.10(a)(1), (a)(3)(A)-(B), (b)(1) (third Tuesday in June)].

Deadline (8:00 p.m.) to deposit ballots at Vote Centers, drop boxes or the Board’s office, and for receipt of all electronically transmitted ballots [D.C. Official Code §§ 1-1001.05(a)(10A)-(10B)].

Open Streets is returning! One mile of 7th Street NW will be closed to vehicles to allow people to safely walk, run, bike, and play.

2024 Vice Presidential Debate

The debate will start at 9:00 PM EDT on October 1. It is being moderated by “CBS Evening News” anchor Norah O’Donnell and Margaret Brennan of CBS’ “Face the Nation.”

CBS News is airing on its broadcast network live and will livestream it on all platforms where CBS News 24/7 and Paramount+ are available. It’s also being made available for simulcast, and other networks will likely air it. Check your local listings.
