Candidate Statement
I am seeking to continue serving as Vice Chair of the Ward 2 Democratic Party because I bring both local dedication and national experience to this role. In Ward 2, I have worked to expand voter participation, strengthen community organizing, and ensure that every voice is heard. Beyond our ward, I have campaigned out of state for Vice President Kamala Harris and made calls to boost voter turnout for Democrats in North Carolina and Virginia. These efforts reflect my commitment to advancing our party at every level—from grassroots organizing to national campaigns.
As Vice Chair, I will continue to support Democrats across the country while ensuring Ward 2 remains a stronghold of progress, justice, and Democratic values. I am also committed to designing voter education workshops on critical topics such as ranked-choice voting, the importance of DC statehood, knowing your rights when interacting with law enforcement, effective strategies for testifying, and the significance of the Home Rule Act.
Ward 2 is full of talent, and I believe our greatest strength lies in engaging that energy. I want to expand our efforts to reach deeper into the community to encourage more neighbors to become active in Ward 2 Democrats. We cannot do this work alone, it requires the support and participation of our community. There is so much work ahead, and I welcome all volunteers to join me in building a stronger, more inclusive, and more effective Democratic Party in DC.
