Ward 2 Democrats

General Guidelines for Ward 2 Residents

In the case of a major disaster, it will be the local response, including that of ordinary Ward 2 residents, that will make a crucial difference.

Knowing what to do during an emergency is an important part of being prepared and may make all the difference when seconds count. This is especialy true for DC Ward 2 Residents, as the Ward includes much of downtown Washington, DC and very densely populated urban neighborhoods.

You should plan in advance what you will do in an emergency. Be prepared to assess the situation, use common sense and whatever you have on hand to take care of yourself and your loved ones. Think about the places where your family spends time: school, work and other places you frequent. Ask about their emergency plans. Find out how they will communicate with families during an emergency. If they do not have an emergency plan, consider helping develop one.
